History of the Texas Freedom Coalition

In early 2020, a grassroots organization called the Texas Freedom Coalition was founded during the wake of the unconstitutional COVID-19 lockdowns, in tandem with the Open Texas movement. TFC was a network of conservative activists and patriots who advocated for constitutional government in the state of Texas, lobbied for Texans’ God-given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and organize local and regional grassroots efforts to promote and preserve liberty in Texas.

The early efforts involved organizing large ‘freedom rallies’ and other events in order to deliver a powerful message to our state leaders:  We will not accept government imposed lockdowns, shutdowns, and other unlawful mandates.

The Texas Freedom Coalition focused on key issues related to core constitutional rights and individual liberty.  They supported and defended medical freedom, core constitutional rights, parental rights, pro-family values, economic freedom, religious freedom, and privacy. Additionally, we advocate for legislation to prevent further encroachments on our freedoms and to limit government emergency powers, and we urge our legislators and local leaders to abolish existing laws, ordinances, and regulations that have encroached on our liberties.  TFC has also worked hard to protect children from  indecency through its legislative advocacy. 

The Texas Freedom Coalition remained active for a few years in delivering its message and advocacy through a variety of events and other methods. Its original leaders now have taken roles in the state party and as influencers.

About Texas Freedom Coalition PAC

Today, the Texas Freedom Coalition PAC (TFC PAC) continues the mission of supporting the protection of key constitutional rights, advancing liberty and advancing messaging in the aforementioned areas of policy through its voter education efforts during elections.  We seek to achieve this by making candidate recommendations and endorsements, providing voter guides, and more.  TFC PAC’s mission embodies the same message and spirit of the original freedom coalition’s activism:  That is, to conserve America's founding principles of liberty and constitutional government in the state of Texas.

Our Board members are from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area, and are kneen observers of local political developments and regional and national events. Our endorsements are made out of consideration to four broad issue areas: Medical freedom, limitations on executive overreach & emergency powers, safeguarding our children, rural Texan interests, and economic liberty in state and federal policy.
